Within George Washington Primary School, we support our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, by embracing our British values. These values include: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance. We communicate these values in our everyday school life through our ethos, assemblies, classroom learning, and our community events such as the Queen’s birthday and World War commemorations.
We support our pupils to recognise the importance of understanding and respecting the many faiths, races and cultures that form our rich and diverse society.
Our aim is to develop our children’s self-esteem and confidence, their ability to know right from wrong, and to take responsibility for appropriate behaviour. This provides our children with the necessary life skills to make a valuable contribution to our society.
We all enjoyed celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday. It was lovely to have all of our families together at our big picnic.
