Our Aims and Objectives

Aims and Objectives of Our School Council

At the start of the year (September 2018), the newly elected representatives reviewed the aims and objectives of the council and agreed on the following:

Aim:

The aim of the School Council is to involve all children in helping to create and implement school policies and procedures that will benefit everyone in our school community.

Objectives:

  • Listen to our peers’ suggestions and discuss these views and opinions at our meetings.
  • Be a link between the children and the Senior Leadership Team by presenting our findings from meetings and discussions with our classes.
  • Work together as a team and be role-models to the rest of the school.

To ensure all pupils in our school have their ideas heard, in the main school hallway, we have a suggestion box where children can write any ideas or suggestions they may have. This could be ideas to improve school life on a day-to-day basis or more general questions. From this, the School Council discuss these ideas and decide on the relevant actions that need to be taken.
