The School Day

The school day begins at 8:50 am for all children.  At this time, the school bell will ring and the reception staff will open the reception classroom doors to greet you and your child. At the start of the year, we would usually allow you to accompany your child into school to help them to hang up their coat and bag. However, due to current circumstances, this is under review and we may be unable to offer this in September.

The school day ends at 3:10 pm and all children will be dismissed from the reception classroom doors.

We will only allow children to be collected by a named adult.  If, for any reason, a named adult is unable to collect your child, then a call (by a parent/carer) must be made to the office well in advance of home time to advise us of who will be collecting them. We will not allow children to leave school if the person collecting is not known to us.

Reception children do not have a designated playtime on the school yard as they have continuous access to their very own outdoor provision that is open for the majority of the school day.

Reception go for their lunch at 11.45 and are accompanied by the reception staff in the dining hall.  The afternoon session begins at 12.45 pm

Please note, start and finish times and routines will vary in the first three weeks of the autumn term to support children's transition into school.
